The fight against heat and humidity. Tadesse finished the World Championship Marathon at the Persian Gulf – in 2:11:21 – on the good 9th place. He was perfectly prepared for a hot heat race. But exactly on the night of the marathon, temperatures and humidity dropped. Tadesse on his result: “I’m not satisfied, but I have to be, because I gave everything.” This race was definitely instructive. For the participation at the Olympic Games in Tokyo next year these experiences are worth gold.
Géraldine secured 9th place at the WRC in Doha with a constant performance. With a first place overall in her favorite discipline – javelin throw – she laid the foundation for the top result. The fact that Géraldine could not improve her personal best in any discipline and still reached 9th place, shows her potential.
