Through his many years of experience and numerous successes in top-level sport, Didier Cuche passes on his accumulated know-how to our athletes. He actively supports them throughout the process (active career and post-career). As a result of his personal experience as a top athlete, he is a particularly skilled advisor (direct transfer) in the subject areas of sport and athlete marketing. Thanks to his extraordinary career, Didier has built up an extensive network, which he uses for the benefit of the athletes.
Professional Career Development
After absolving an apprenticeship as a butcher, in 1993 Didier Cuche became an active professional in the ski circus. He was a specialist in the Downhill, the Super G and the Giant Slalom disciplines spanning many years at the very top of his sport worldwide. Among his greatest achievements were the Silver medal at the Winter Olympics at Nagamo in 1998, World Champion at Val d’Isere in 2000, his winning of 6 crystal balls for world cup disciplines and naturally the unforgettable 5 (record) victories on the “Streif” in Kitzbühl. In addition he was voted as sportsman of the year in 2009 and 2011, and in 2011 crowned Swiss man of the year. Even after the end of his career in 2012 Didier Cuche did not lose his passion for skiing and can be seen regularly with partners or former colleagues with a pair of skis under his feet. He has successfully mastered the transition to his new phase of life and is today, as well as being a Brand Ambassador, an active coach and advisor to up and coming athletes in the world of skiing.
